The Prospex ‘Black on Black’ One Hundredth of a Second Speedtimer Solar Chronograph is powered by a new in-house solar chronograph movement. It is equipped with a stopwatch that measures time with an accuracy of 1/100th of a second and charges both from natural and electric light. In 1964, Seiko became the official timekeeper of the Tokyo Olympic Games, marking a turning point in its history, as it began producing precision professional watches despite having no prior experience in this field. This legacy continues to this day, as Seiko has been the Official Timekeeper of the World Athletics Championships since 1985, providing timing services for over 180 World Sports events around the globe. The black sub-dials on the black dial of this particular watch provide the best possible visibility due to the separation of the hour and chronograph indications, while the hammer-shaped button allows for easier operation of the stopwatch.
